I can’t think of a better way to start the day! I loved spending the morning with Emma and Evelyn at Mellon Park for Evelyn’s one year session! Evelyn is so adorable and has such a contagious smile! I had a blast documenting her eating her first birthday cake. My favorite part of the session was when she kept laying her head down on top of the cake. I found myself laughing the entire time! I love smash the cake sessions! There is something about them that is so much fun! One of my favorite moments in a smash the cake session, is seeing how different babies react when a cake is placed in front of them! We did Nolan’s smash the cake session at Morrow-Pontefract Park in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. We stylized Nolan’s smash the cake pictures around different shades of blue with a splash of yellow. Lauren had Nolan’s smash cake made by Priory Fine Pastries in Pittsburgh, PA. Nolan was so cute while he was devouring his cake. He was very focused and licked the frosting off of his fingers after each bite. By the end, there was blue frosting everywhere! My favorite moment during the session was when he raised his arm up and had a huge bright smile on his face! Here are some of my favorite pictures from Nolan’s smash the cake session!

Elliott is beyond adorable!!!! We did his one year session at Soergel Orchards in Wexford, Pennsylvania. It was such a cute location for his smash the cake session! I love the blossoming trees in the background! We stylized his session around a picnic theme. One of my favorite moments during the session was watching him carry around the picnic basket. Moon Township Baby Photographer | Nicolette Dixon Photography | Moon Township, Pennsylvania | Adalyn’s Smash the Cake Session

I can hardly believe my little Adalyn turned 1 on September 21st. This past year has been amazing! Adalyn brings a smile to my face everyday. I am in love her little personality and I am really enjoying watching her grow. She is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. She can pull herself up on furniture and it is only a matter of time before she is walking. I decided to do a woodland animal theme in Moon Park in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, for her smash the cake session. I love that my mom was in town and was able to make Adalyn’s smash cake. She made Adalyn a delicious carrot cake decorate with buttercream roses. It took Adalyn awhile before she would even try the cake, but after she tried it, it was hard to get her to stop. In fact, we had to cut her off. She kept eating and eating and eating. Here are a couple pictures from her smash the cake session.
