As a Moon Township baby photographer I know how important it is to document the first year of my baby’s life.   I can’t believe how fast the past 6 months have flown by.  It is so crazy to compare Adalyn’s month by months pictures.  She is has grown so much.  I can’t wait to see what she looks like in her 12 month picture!

Along with her month by month picture, I also love to write a paragraph about how she has change.

Adalyn rolled over for the second time on the day that she turned 6 months old.   She is now wearing 6-12 months clothing.  She weighs 17 lbs 3 oz and is 25.8 inches tall.  She has been watching us eat so I know that she is ready to try cereal this month.  She is a really happy baby.  She is smiling and laughing all day long.  She has been really struggling staying asleep at night.  I will lay her down and she is up crying a hour later.  She will do that several times before she is actually down for the night, but even then she gets up a couple of times in the middle of the night so I am not really getting very much sleep right now.  We haven’t really been going anywhere because Adalyn hates her car seat.  Luckily it has been really nice out so we have been walking to a park nearby and having a picnic.  Adalyn will roll around on the picnic blanket while Allie plays on the playground.  This has become my favorite way to spend out days!

I love taking pictures of children interacting with their siblings.  I feel so blessed to be the mother to two sweet little girls.  I could spend all day everyday taking pictures of them!  I love watching Allie play with Adalyn! Adalyn’s eyes will light up when her big sister, Allie, comes over to play with her. I can tell that Adalyn adores her! Seeing Allie with Adalyn takes me back to my childhood. My sisters were my best friends. We did everything together! We swam in the pool, went bowling, played hide and seek with all of the kids in the neighboorhood, ran together, went on bike rides, danced, and would spend hours walking through the stores just down the street.  It wasn’t what we did together that made it special, it was the fact that we had each other to do it with. I am so happy that Allie and Adalyn will also have each other. I am really looking forward to watching them grow up together.  I can already tell that Allie will be a great storyteller and will love to sing.  Adalyn will be full of energy, dancing, and twirling around the room in her tutu as Allie sings to her.

Pittsburgh Photographer | Nicolette Dixon Photography | Ice Castles Midway Utah

As a Pittsburgh photographer, I have always wanted to see and photograph the beautiful ice sculptures in Midway, Utah known as the Ice Castles. A few weeks ago, I saw on the news that the Ice Castles were only going to be open for three days. As soon as I heard this, I immediately got on the computer and purchased our tickets. We packed up the entire family and made our way to Midway, Utah, to see them. When we got there it took 30 minutes just to park, but it was completely worth it. It was such a fun night! They were playing music from the movie Frozen. Olaf, Anna, and Elsa were there. Allie was so excited! She loved playing in the snow and she even got to go down a slide made of ice. It was so cute! They were selling hot apple cider at a little stand inside of the ice castles. It was delicious and made the evening even more perfect! I am so glad my mom was able to join us and that we were able to share this experience with her!
