I love that there are so many fun things I can do with my girls over the summer!   Some of my favorite activities are strawberry, wildflower, blueberry, and peach picking at Simmons Farm!  Check out the blog posts from us picking strawberries and blueberries last year!   There is something so sweet about spending the morning on a farm and then heading home to make something together as a family with the fruit that we picked.

On Thursday, we headed out early in the morning.  It was a beautiful sunny day.   The girls were running up and down the rows looking for the perfect strawberries.  After filling up one big box with strawberries, we left the farm and then headed to the store to the ingredients to make strawberry shortcake.  The strawberries were delicious!  We ate through the entire box in one day.

I am really looking forward to picking wildflowers next!  I can’t wait for them to open up the fields in a few weeks!!!
